| Daylight Savings Time - A Good Time to Remember to Change Your Smoke Detector Battery |
Remember to change your clocks and smoke alarm batteries when daylight savings time ends tonight.
3 out of 5 home fire deaths result from fires in homes without a working smoking alarm, according to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). IAFF Local #2876 firefighters remind you to not only change your clock when Daylight Savings Time ends, but the batteries in your smoke alarms.

| Burn Ban Lifted by Kitsap County Fire Marshall |
From the Fire Marshalls Office:
'The Kitsap County Fire Marshal announced the ban on outdoor burning will be lifted effective 8 a.m.on Thursday, September 25, outdoor burning throughout unincorporated Kitsap County may resume subject to the normal permitting requirements, rules and regulations. Additional information is available by contacting the fire marshal at 360.337.
